Ariana Delawari – “De Koknar Le Zara”
the poison of opium
Recently mixed 2 versions of the song “De Koknar Le Zara (the poison of opium)” with Ariana Delawari (two different Afghani languages). This was a song Ariana was commissioned to for an Afghan anti opium/heroin campaign.
“Hello friends, I was asked by the US government and Afghan governments to write a song for an anti heroin/anti opium campaign. here is the Pashto version of the song. I hope you enjoy it… and pray for a peaceful, prosperous Afghanistan where we don’t have the darkness of heroin and opium addiction furthering an already grave situation” -Ariana Delawari (from her blog)

Stephen Becker (a.k.a. Le Concorde), who operates the B-room here at company, is currently remixing a track for Eric Matthews (Sub Pop) and Richard Davies’ forthcoming Cardinal album. Recent sessions have included guest guitarist, Adam Zimmon.

Owens Valley Dynamite, Dwight Trible, Madlib, Video, Star Maps, Cut Chemist, Radar Brothers.
Owens Valley Dynamite mixing and finishing their debut stack of tracks for wax. CD Mastering and design work for the new Gaby Hernandez CD with Gaby and Carlos Niño. Recorded some flute and saxophone for Dwight Trible‘s new record and hopefully getting into some mixing on that one soon with Dexter Story.
